The Project in Brief
In 2008-2009 autumn semester General Electric Nagykanizsa asked us to redesign one their lamp family with one of the oldest design recently. It was a low-cost family that we had to redesign. Simple and closed body and the family had to have options for 1, 2 and 4 light sources. These products are mainly sold to institutions and office buildings.

Case Study
After a short research and idea-sketch phase we presented our ideas to GE. I came up with 2 different lines and of them, the Ovalio family was selected for further development by GE.
I did a study for what shapes I could bring for a lamp and I connected form and function and tried to come up with an elegant solution. Unfortunately the project died (we think because the lack of money and recession) and development was not continued, but I am very proud my project was selected though.
